i just found a nice video about yuzen dyeing (don’t worry, you don’t need to speak japanese to understand this ;) ). it’s a method to dye kimono fabric. this video shows just every step (everything is done by hand) and after you saw this you can probably understand how a kimono like the one shown in the end can cost up to 10,000$… but this is just to show you a part of japanese traditional handicrafts (yuzen dyeing dates back to the late 17th century).
